Teaching and training have been among the most rewarding parts of my work. As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Town, and previously through the Graduate School of Architecture at the University of Johannesburg, I have been able to build learning environments where students and collaborators engage in live, grounded work in a mutually supportive way.

My teaching draws on Southern urbanism and a design-led approach, encouraging students to learn through drawing, making, and direct engagement with the places and people they are designing with. More recently, this has taken shape through Repairative Architectures, where studio work explores how architecture might contribute to spatial repair. Teaching also continues to shape my own reflexive practice, as the questions students raise feed back into my research and writing.
